Houston: The city of Houston is preparing in full spirit to host matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with organizers officially unveiling the volunteer uniforms ahead of the global football tournament.
The official launch ceremony was held at POST Houston, where Host Committee President Chris Canetti and Volunteer Manager Toke Awofeso jointly introduced the new volunteer kit.
A total of 4,100 volunteers have been selected from more than 35,000 applicants to serve as part of Houston’s World Cup volunteer team.
The uniforms were designed by Adidas Official Website, an official FIFA partner. The volunteer kit includes 10 items, including T-shirts, jackets, pants, shorts, shoes, and caps.
In addition to assisting during matches at NRG Stadium, volunteers will also provide support at airports, fan festivals, and team hotels across the city.
Organizers stated that volunteers from more than 150 countries will participate in the event. To assist international visitors more effectively, special phone-based translation services will also be available at Fan Fest booths to help tourists and football fans from around the world.
