Beijing: Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping projected strong diplomatic unity during their summit meeting in Beijing, emphasising strategic cooperation, partnership, and mutual trust between Russia and China.

During the meeting, both leaders criticised what they described as the “irresponsible” nuclear policy of the United States and opposed former US President Donald Trump’s proposed “Golden Dome” missile defence initiative.

The summit featured symbolic displays of friendship, with both leaders referring to each other as “dear friend” and highlighting their long-standing political relationship built through more than 40 meetings over the years.

However, analysts noted that despite the warm public messaging, the relationship remains driven largely by geopolitical and strategic interests.

DPCI International Desk reports that the Beijing summit reflects the deepening Russia-China alliance amid evolving global power dynamics and rising tensions with the West.
