Porvorim: Unknown assailants allegedly opened fire at Srinivas Nayak, Director of Majestic Pride Hotels and Resorts Pvt. Ltd., outside his resort in Porvorim on Friday evening.
According to police, the incident occurred around 8:45 pm. Nayak escaped unharmed, while the attackers fled the scene.
North Goa SP Harish Madkaikar said a manhunt has been launched to trace the assailants. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the firing.
Majestic Pride operates a five-star property in Porvorim and owns an offshore casino.
