Police Constable Dies by Suicide Inside Patrol Van in Kalaburagi

Kalaburagi, July 8: A 30-year-old City Armed Reserve (CAR) police constable allegedly died by suicide after shooting himself with his service rifle inside a stationary police patrol vehicle at the busy Jagat Circle in Kalaburagi on Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Shivakumar Nariboli, a 2016-batch City Armed Reserve constable. He is survived by his wife and two children.

According to police, the incident occurred while the patrol vehicle was stationed at Jagat Circle. The constable allegedly used his service rifle to shoot himself inside the vehicle. He was found with fatal injuries, and authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police officials are examining all possible angles, including personal and professional factors, to establish the reason behind the alleged suicide. Further investigation is underway.
