Heavy overnight rainfall lashed several parts of Hyderabad on the night of July 27, with showers continuing into the morning of July 28, bringing widespread rainfall across the city and several districts of Telangana.
The rain began after 10:00 p.m., sparing Hyderabad from major traffic congestion during peak evening commuting hours. Earlier in the day, the Cyberabad Police had issued an advisory requesting Information Technology (IT) companies to consider allowing employees to leave work early in anticipation of heavy rainfall and possible traffic disruptions. However, as the downpour commenced later in the night, significant traffic snarls were largely avoided.
The rainfall also affected several districts across Telangana, with authorities continuing to monitor weather conditions and their impact on daily life. Residents have been advised to remain cautious in low-lying areas and follow official weather advisories as further rainfall is expected in parts of the State.
