To facilitate passenger movement during the upcoming Onam festival, the South Western Railway (SWR) has announced special express train services between Mysuru, Bengaluru, and Kannur in Kerala.
The railway zone will operate two trips in each direction to manage the expected increase in passenger demand during the festival season.
Train No. 06227 Mysuru–Kannur Special Express will depart from Mysuru Junction at 10:30 PM on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, and will reach Kannur at 2:00 PM the following day.
The special trains will operate via Bengaluru and will provide additional travel options for passengers heading to Kerala for Onam celebrations.
The trains will halt at important stations including Mandya, KSR Bengaluru, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet Junction, Salem Junction, Erode Junction, Tiruppur, Podanur Junction, Palakkad Junction, Shoranur Junction, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, and Thalassery.
Railway officials said the special services are part of efforts to ensure convenient and efficient travel arrangements during the festive period.
