The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has warned the government against what it describes as the continued ātargeting and witch-huntingā of students involved in recent protests, cautioning that it will launch a fresh round of peaceful demonstrations if the alleged harassment continues.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke stated in a post on X that the party would organize a āmassive peaceful protestā if students continue to face police action. The warning comes a day after the party accused the Centre of violating its assurance that no punitive measures would be taken against protesters.
The CJP has also expressed concern over the Supreme Courtās directions permitting State authorities to continue investigations into FIRs registered in connection with the protests. The party maintains that students should not be subjected to intimidation or punitive action for participating in democratic demonstrations.
The development signals the possibility of renewed political mobilization, with the CJP urging the government to halt actions against students and uphold its earlier commitments.
